AUCAN

www.myspace.com/aucan

Combining principles of experimental rock, dubstep, and downtempo, Aucan create a unique live- electronic style, energy, and experience.
Since 2009 they are already heating up the underground in Europe, having played over 300 shows sharing the stage with Placebo, Matmos, Antipop Consortium, Tricky, Andrew Hung (Fuck Buttons), Steve Aoki, Dinosaur Jr, Crookers, PVT, Sole and The Skyrider band, Ramadanman, Black Heart Procession, Lars Hornveth, ZU, DJ Food, Architecture in Helsinki among others.

Black Rainbow is the third release from Aucan. Mastered by Matt Colton at AIR studios, London, it's both innovative in its sound and musical approach. Aucan unify a live rock band attitude with the most innovative electronic production sounds, making both their record and their live set something unique.
Spacing from modern dubstep and wonky broken riffs to dead ambient landscapes, this is a record that guides the listener into a multi textured sound experience. Digital processed vocals draw intense melodies over the tracks, using dark- psychedelic harmonies as well as rap- influenced styles.
